The answer is that it depends on your business and your expectations. One of the reasons people came to question the industry leads value of affiliate marketing is that there was this perception that it was all about easy and very passive income. Nothing worthwhile comes that easily though! Affiliate marketing can still be very lucrative for affiliate program managers and affiliates. What you need to industry leads recognize is that it won't be easy and it will take some skill. Why do people say affiliate marketing is dead? Statistics seem to suggest that affiliate marketing is still alive, so where does this perception that affiliate marketing is dead come from? It seems to come mostly from affiliate marketers, especially those who industry leads have been in the game for a long time. While claims that affiliate marketing is dead are clearly overblown, there are legitimate reasons for people to question its value. Is affiliate marketing dead? Things are changing incredibly quickly in this industry and this has presented challenges for some affiliates.
